Barnet short loop
barnet
What to Expect:
This route starts and ends at a small pull off on Brook Rd that affords access to Joe's Brook for you to cool off in after your ride. There is only room for a few cars here, so please be respectful of other users. If busy, there is another pull off with brook access where Joe's Brook Rd and Rt. 5 intersect.
This route, while short, is not for the faint of heart. It includes an incredibly scenic and challenging climb up Rake Factory Rd.
Note: Rake Factory is a Class IV road and the upper part is unplowed in the winter, usually making it VERY muddy until late spring.
When done your ride, be sure to visit the Joe's Brook Farm stand a few hundred yards from the start of the ride!
