River to River

Concord

What to Expect:

Although this route isn’t an easy to follow loop, the water features — from the Moose River to Shadow Lake, a hidden waterfall, and the Moore Reservoir — make it ideal for a hot day. There are plenty of views on Shadow Lake Road that are worth the effort whether going out or back.

On a big bend on the Moose River, Concord is a small town with heart. Visit a classic Vermont gas station with all the extras, eat at a family-friendly restaurant or stay overnight at one of the town’s campgrounds. Step away from the Route 2 corridor to enjoy quiet back roads and take a dip (or the chance to fish) in the stunningly beautiful Shadow Lake or Miles Pond.
